Hi, I’m Thomas, the creative force behind Lemandarin Workshop! I’ve been passionate about painting miniatures for as long as I can remember.
My journey began as a child, flipping through the Revell Robotech Defenders catalogue, dreaming of all the plastic models I could build. Those early glimpses sparked a fascination I would later share with my father, building model trains and exploring the world of modeling together.
As a teenager, I discovered Mordheim, which became my first bought miniature game—while I loved 40K and Battle, Mordheim was simply more approachable at the time.
Today, some of my favorite rule sets remain Warhammer 40K 4th and 5th editions, along with the 2019 Apocalypse rules, which I still find incredibly fun to play. While Jervis Johnson isn’t officially credited for the Apocalypse rules, they are clearly inspired by his earlier work on Epic, especially in how large-scale battles are streamlined without losing tactical depth.
While I’m passionate about miniature gaming, my greatest joy is painting entire armies — crafting cohesive forces with character and visual impact. I don’t split my work into display or tabletop tiers: everything I paint follows the same consistent, distinctive style you see throughout my gallery.
